DYMO Survey Finds Administrative Professionals Struggle With Organization

In a new survey conducted by DYMO® and DeskDemon, the world's largest Web site for administrative professionals, 63 percent of the admins polled revealed that when it comes to being organized, they fall in the mediocre range. In fact, 65 percent said that when compared to their non-administrative colleagues, they are the most in need of help on the organization front.

"Organization is key to running a successful office, no matter what its size," said Barry Izsak, certified professional organizer and immediate past-president of the National Association of Professional Organizers. "While most assume that administrative professionals are highly organized, the truth is they struggle with the same organizational issues as everyone else. Organizational skills don't have to come naturally to ensure a productive work environment, but can be learned and made easier with the right tools."

Survey Says…
A lack of innate organizational skills isn't all to blame for office disorganization. The DYMO survey found 59 percent of administrative professionals reported a lack of time as their biggest obstacle to getting organized. Nine percent said they aren't equipped with the right tools.
